Christ Covenant Fellowship has a long history even though our name is relatively new. Established in the late 1800's, our little church has been a staple in the community for generations of believers. Originally organized as "United Baptist Church," the church house was built and then later moved to it's current location. Our worship space is the original meeting house. Sometime in the early to mid 1900's, the name was changed to "Antioch Baptist Church." In 1993 an addition was built to include Sunday School rooms, office space, and a fellowship hall. We also purchased the land across the street for future growth. In 2018, the church called Pastor Matthew Rickett to serve as the preaching pastor.
At the time, the church was a part of the Southern Baptist Convention. Since then, the church unanimously voted to leave the SBC and reaffiliate with FIRE (Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals) to better align with our beliefs and practices. In 2023, the church voted to incorporate as Christ Covenant Fellowship to avoid confusion with the Nashville suburb by the same former name, Antioch. The new name was chosen carefully to say something about who we are as a congregation. We are Christ centered; We are Covenantal (often used as another name for "Reformed"); We are a local church that emphasizes the relational aspect of community life. We hope you visit and discover that above all, we seek to honor King Jesus in everything we do.

Expository Preaching
Expository preaching is a method of preaching book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse throughout the Bible. Each Sunday, we pick up where we left off in the Biblical text the week before. The sermon is always text driven, meaning that the subject is determined by whatever passage we are in. This ensures that we hear the Word of God, not the word of man.

Reformed
Christ Covenant Fellowship is a Reformed Baptist Church. This means that we are Calvinistic, Confessional, and Covenantal. As Calvinists, we believe that God saves us by grace alone. Confessionally, we have adopted the 1689 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith as a summary of what we believe. And finally, we are covenantal, meaning that we understand the entire Bible to unfold the one story of our redemption through our covenant (or, promise) making God.

Gospel Culture
The Gospel is front and center at CCF. Every Sunday the message points to King Jesus and his finished work. As we look to Christ each week, we are changed from one degree of glory to another (2 Cor 3:18). This Gospel emphasis creates a Gospel culture - that is, a people who love Jesus and who are quick to extend grace to one another. We are ragamuffins and vagabonds, broken and healing - and together, we encourage each other to look to Jesus and live.
